WHAT
On a two game ACC winning streak, the Boston College Eagles will return home to face the Syracuse Orange in a crucial ACC matchup. While BC has probably played itself out of NCAA tournament consideration, it has plenty of winnable games remaining on its schedule, beginning with this game against the Orange. Getting healthy and playing its best basketball would help the Eagles get to around .500 in ACC play and sneak its way onto the bubble come selection Sunday, where ESPN would no doubt have “Bad Losses: IUPUI and Hartford.” BC doesn’t have Syracuse’s signature win at Duke, but losses to Old Dominion, UConn, and Oregon aren’t great either, but they’ll probably get in the tournament and be in the Elite Eight, because that’s just what they do.
