Boston College may be losing Tommy Sweeney who is graduating and heading to the NFL, but they will be gaining a graduate transfer, one that many BC fans may recognize:
— Danny Dalton (@danny_dalton22) January 20, 2019
Dalton, a Marshfield Massachusetts resident, was a former commit for the Eagles before flipping to Penn State. A 4* recruit out of HS, his recruitment blew up after a strong senior season, and he chose the Nittany Lions over Alabama who also came calling. He hasn’t had much of a career in Happy Valley to this point though, only snagging three receptions over the past three years.
Dalton’s place on the depth chart is certainly worth watching. BC, while losing Sweeney, will be returning Korab Idrizi, Jake Burt and Hunter Long, all tight ends who have had significant snaps with the program. But with a new offensive coordinator anything can happen, and some competition on the depth chart is always a good thing.
Welcoem to the Heights Danny!
