According to reports Steve Addazio has his new offensive coordinator, and it’s Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback coach Mike Bajakian.
Bajakian, who was not retained by new Bucs head coach Bruce Arians, has a very strong resume that should check a lot of boxes for Boston College football fans. Most recently he has been Jameis Winston’s position coach for the Bucs, helping him become one of the most consistent QBs in the country. In a span of four years Winston continues to climb as one of the more dependable QBs in the NFL.
Before his time with the Bucs, he was the OC for the Tennessee Volunteers, helping Josh Dobbs and the program reach a bowl for the first time in years. He was also the OC for the Cincinnati Bearcats, where Zach Colloros threw for over 6,000 yards, and for CMU when Dan Lefevour threw for 150 touchdowns and Antonio Brown became an All American wide receiver.
BC’s newest offensive coordinator, who will be replacing Scot Loeffler who took a head coaching job at Bowling Green, also fills a gap that former co-DC Anthony Campanile left behind. He is a graduate of Bergan Catholic in New Jersey. Hopefully he will continue to build upon the connections that have become the lifeblood of the BC recruiting pipeline.
