Boston College football could be in need of a co-defensive coordinator soon, as coveted coach Anthony Campanile is being interviewed for a coaching position at the University of Michigan
Campanile, 36 years old has been a huge asset for the Eagles both as a coach and as a recruiter. He has been in charge of the defensive backs, a group that has developed an impressive list of NFL players out of Justin Simmons, Isaac Yiadom, Kamrin Moore and John Johnson along with future NFLers Lukas Denis, Will Harris and Hamp Cheevers.
The other piece that is crucial to Campanile’s role has been his ability to recruit the state of New Jersey, due to his connections to some of the upper tier schools in the state. He was the lead recruiter for Ben Petrula, Brandon Sebastian, Marcus Valdez and most recently Shittah Sillah, Izaiah Henderson, and Jalen Williams. He has really helped solidify BC’s footing in the Garden State.
Obviously this is a situation that bares watching, and check back to BCI for more updates.
