The 4th Annual Comm Ave Charity Classic, organized by Boston College MIH alumni Pat Mullane, Justin Murphy, and Andrew Orpik, raised a record $78,432 last night to support Compassionate Care ALS and the Travis Roy Foundation. Over the past 4 years, the game has raised upwards of $250,000 to support ALS patients and individuals with spinal cord injuries.

The BU alumni team won this year’s game 10-5, and now holds a 3-1 event record. (Although half of BU’s goals were scored by Harvard and Northeastern alumni, so we’re calling it a tie.) The Eagles opened the scoring with a goal by Brian Boyle from Brian Dumoulin and Noah Hanifin, but couldn’t keep up with BU once the Terriers got started despite some solid goaltending from Joe Pearce and Chris Venti.

The remaining 4 BC goals were scored by Colin White (from Patrick Brown and Jimmy Hayes), Kevin Hayes (from Dumoulin), Chris Kreider, and Paul Carey (from Nathan Gerbe).
