Every year, in the waning moments of the summer, college hockey fans in Boston are treated to a special treat at BU’s old historic Walter Brown Arena: the Commonwealth Avenue Classic. The annual game between BC and BU hockey alumni was created to honor BC baseball alumnus Pete Frates, and BU’s Travis Roy and Dick Kelley. Now in its fourth season, the game is shaping up to be as interesting as ever. Here’s what you need to know.
Game Time:
August 24, 2018, 7:05 PM puck drop
How to Buy Tickets:
You can buy tickets online at Ticketmaster, or you can go to the Agganis Arena Box Office to pick up tickets. All ticket proceeds go to Compassionate Care ALS, the Pete Frates Home Health Initiative, and the Travis Roy Foundation. Information on those charities can be found here.
Who’s Playing?:
The rosters can be found on the CACC’s home page, and also listed below. Of note, Harvard’s Ryan Donato and Jimmy Vesey will be suiting for the BU alumni.
