The ACC Preseason Media Poll was voted on last week during the Kickoff event, and the Boston College Eagles are sitting in a solid place. Based on the votes, the ACC Media has the Eagles 4th in the ACC Atlantic, behind the Clemson Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and N.C. State Wolfpack.
In the Coastal Division, the Miami Hurricanes are the runaway favorites to win the division followed by fellow Boston College opponent the Virginia Tech Hokies.

While 4th place may still seem low, this is a giant step up from last year when the media picked BC to finish dead last in the Atlantic, and gave them the lowest amounts of points of any team in the conference. When you start getting noticed by Tobacco Road writers, you know the program is heading in a better direction.
Some other thoughts
- Two votes for NC State to win the Atlantic? Lol, ok.
- Clearly that one FSU writer really like Willie Taggart. (There is no way that team is beating Clemson)
- I love that UNC has one first place vote, but still is firmly in 6th place in the Coastal Division
