The Boston College Eagles football team got arguably their biggest commit in the Class of 2019 when four star running back Patrick Garwo committed today. In a press conference in front at his high school in Pennsylvania, Garwo pledged to the Eagles.

Why is Garwo a 4* on Rivals? Just look at his offer sheet which included the Wisconsin Badgers, Virginia Cavaliers, Syracuse Orange, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Pittsburgh Panthers, Maryland Terrapins, and Duke Blue Devils. He finshed last season with 240 carries for 1,875 yards and 24 touchdowns for his Conwell-Egan team. He has all the attributes you would hope for in a BC running back, according to a local article: “At 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, Garwo is a strong, powerful runner with the ability to overpower would-be tacklers, but he also has breakaway speed that few of Conwell-Egan’s opponents can match”. On Rivals he considered the 17th best RB in the country, and the 5th rated recruit in the state of Pennsylvania.
BC had need for depth at the position with Travis Levy, A.J. Dillon and David Bailey as the only running backs on the depth chart right now.
What a get for Steve Addazio and his staff. Welcome to the Heights Patrick!
