Combo guard Makayla Dickens to join BC from U Albany

Makayla Dickens, a 3-star guard from Princess Anne High School in Virgina, announced on twitter today that she will be joining Boston College Women’s Basketball.

Dickens originally committed to University of Albany in December before Martin Jarmond selected former Albany head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee as Erik Johnson’s successor on April 10th. The 5’8” combo guard averaged 15 points per game for Princess Anne in her senior season, and led the squad to the 2018 state title. She is known as a 3-point threat, who can create offense for herself and others. Check out her highlights here.

Boston College ended this spring with a 7-23 record, their seventh consecutive losing season. New head coach Bernabei-McNamee hopes to begin to right the ship, adding Dickens to the incoming freshman class of Jenasae Bishop, Taylor Soule, Marnelle Garraud, Lana Hollingsworth, Kate Klimkiewicz, and Clara Ford.
