Boston College Football Recruiting: Eagles Land Commitment From ‘19 QB Sam Johnson

Huge get for the Eagles! #SOAR

Boston College Helmet

Boston College received arguably their biggest commitment in this upcoming class as pro-style quarterback Sam Johnson verbally committed to the Eagles.

A 3* quarterback on Rivals and 247 (4* on ESPN), Johnson had an impressive list of offers including his top five of Michigan Wolverines, Missouri Tigers, Syracuse Orange and Iowa Hawkeyes along Boston College. He also had offers from Cincinnati, Toledo, Indiana, Illinois and a bevy of MAC schools. According to 247 he’s the 412th ranked recruit in the Class of 2019, the 15th ranked pro-passer and 11th ranked recruit in Michigan.

Johnson is a huge get for the Eagles, and is the highest rated recruit in the Class of 2019. He’ll be joining Anthony Brown (Jr.), EJ Perry IV (Jr.) , Matt McDonald (So.), Johnny Langan (R-Fr.) and Matt Valecce (R-Fr.) as quarterbacks in the program in 2019 (class standings are a guess after this year). Sam is the first quarterback in this upcoming class.
