Boston College football recruiting has heated up lately with a slew of new commits, and there were tidbits on two potential 2019 targets.
Sam Johnson
The 3* (ESPN300) Michigan quarterback announced on Twitter this week that he will be making his decision on May 7th.
It's been a fun ride. I feel the time⏰ has come for me to make a decision. With that being said I will be committing on May 7th live with @usatodayhss at Walled Lake Western High School at 4pm. @WLWWARRIORS ⚪ #Blessed

He has a final five of the Syracuse Orange, Boston College Eagles, Missouri Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and Iowa Hawkeyes. From a source I have spoken with, it sounds like he is BC’s recruit to lose, so hopefully the Eagles have found their quarterback for the class. Johnson certainly would be a solid get for Steve Addazio and Co.
And now the bad news....
Aeneas Dicosmo
Commitment Time coming soon...This is my Top Five: Stanford , Clemson , Notre Dame☘️ , Michigan〽️, Northwestern pic.twitter.com/f9KqU7tGXl

Ignoring the amazing photoshop job, the legacy Dicosmo has not put the Eagles in his Top 5. This is a tough loss for Addazio, because of the family relationship with the school, and that Dicosmo plays for Bergan Catholic (hence the BC logo on the cartoon character’s shirt), the school coached by Vito Campanile, defensive back Anthony’s brother. Obviously BC is going to struggle against some of those schools, but you kind of would hope that they would make the list over a school like Northwestern.
Rahmir Johnson
Thank you to all the coaches that have recruited me. It has been a blessing to meet so many great men. I have narrowed my list to 4 schools and plan to make a decision soon. pic.twitter.com/tN5TTx9Qmh

A four star running back from New Jersey, Johnson names his Top 4 schools yesterday that included Boston College, along with Rutgers, Ole Miss, and Nebraska. Another Bergan Catholic star, Johnson has been crystal ball’d by all of the predictors on 247 to Nebraska. Keep your ears peeled on this one.
