Boston College Lacrosse Demolishes Duke to Stay Undefeated

This was BC’s second ever win at Duke

Earlier today, Boston College women’s lacrosse earned a stunning 18-8 victory over Duke to improve to 14-0 on the season. This is only the second time in program history that the Eagles have won at Duke. The Eagles have now tied their record for conference wins in a season with 5.

The Eagles jumped out with an early 4-1 lead today and never let up, only allowing 5 Duke goals in the first half and 3 in the second.

Dempsey Arsenault was the star of the game, scoring a career high 5 goals and picking up game highs in draw controls (8) and caused turnovers (3). Sam Apuzzo, Taylor Walker, and Kaileen Hart also picked up hat tricks today, scoring 3 goals each.

The Eagles’ remaining 4 goals were scored by Cara Urbank (2), Emma Schurr and Tess Chandler.

BC’s defense was also a major factor in today’s game - this is only the 3rd time this season that Duke has been held to 8 or fewer goals.
