Joe Lunardi gave the Eagles some preseason love in his 2019 NCAA Tournament projections today, showing BC as an at-large bid a #9 seed. Lunardi has BC facing off with #8 Houston, before running into defending national champion Villanova in the second round. The bracket projects ten bids for ACC schools, with North Carolina State and Miami grabbing 11 seeds. Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Notre Dame would be on the outside looking in. Check out the full bracket here.
Silliness of making 2019 tournament projections at this time of year aside, it’s fun to dream about how far this team could go next season if everything falls into place. A whole lot could change for the squad in the coming months with Ky Bowman breaking news today that he, in addition to Jerome Robinson, will be testing the NBA draft waters. If both players turn pro, it would be hard to see the Eagles taking that next step forward into the NCAA Tournament. Still, it’s fun to see this team getting thrown into NCAA postseason talk this early. We could be in for a fun ride in 2018-2019!
