Boston College Baseball Midweek Games Cancelled

The Eagles’ contests against Holy Cross and Brown have been cancelled this week.

Both of the Boston College baseball team’s midweek games this week have been cancelled. Tuesday’s home contest against Holy Cross and Wednesday’s road game at Brown are now off, as both the Crusaders and Bears are required by the Patriot League and Ivy League to make up conference games on those respective days.

Though the loss of the games will have no material affect on Boston College’s season, it would have been beneficial to play both games and possibly get playing time for some guys on the team who have not had a large number of at bats, or innings on the mound, this season.

The Eagles will return to action this coming Friday when they host the Louisville Cardinals in their second to last ACC series of the year. The weekend will feature three special days, as Friday will celebrate the Boston College Police Department as part of First Responders Day, Saturday will be the Sixth Annual Military Appreciation Day, and Sunday will be Senior Day. All three games on the weekend will be carried on ACC Network Extra and broadcast via the WatchESPN app.
