For Fiscal Year 2017, Steve Addazio Was Boston College’s Highest Paid Employee

Boston College recently filed its Form 990, a tax form that BC is required to file every tax year. In it, it showed that BC football head coach Steve Addazio was BC’s highest paid employee.

As was first reported by the student newspaper The Heights, Addazio received $2,514,859 in total compensation for his services coaching the Boston College football team. Addazio made $2,325,939 in base compensation, and made $134,485 in “other reportable compensation.”

This reporting was for the period between June 1, 2016 and May 31, 2017. The BC football team finished 7-6 during that time.

Boston College men’s basketball coach Jim Christian was BC’s second highest paid employee at $1,480,826 for the fiscal year.

In addition, men’s ice hockey coach Jerry York made $660,141 in total compensation, and former athletic director Brad Bates made $622,055.

Other athletic personnel were not listed in the Form 990 filing.
