Last time out, the Eagles fell victim to ACC rival Wake Forest in a series sweep and thus putting them at 12-22 overall on the season and 5-13 in conference play. This week, the Eagles look to right the ship going against non-conference opponents URI and Dartmouth. Similar to BC, both URI and Dartmouth having been struggling this year with both squads posting 10 or less wins this season.
These are two opponents where BC could seize the opportunity for their bats to have a field day as both URI and Dartmouth struggle from the mound. Dartmouth’s starters average a 4.70 ERA while URI’s hovers around a 3.93 respectively. With BC being outscore 11-1 in their most recent series against Wake, it is pivotal for the Eagles to do whatever they can to get their offense going. These two games could serve as great opportunities for BC to ignite the fire underneath their bats and treat these games as a standard batting practice session.
