Parker Milner Named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Year

Congrats Parker!

This afternoon, the ECHL announced Parker Milner as the 2017-18 Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Year. Milner, who played 38 games for the South Carolina Stingrays and 6 for the Hershey Bears (AHL) this year is in his fifth professional season and second with the Capitals organization.

Milner finished third in the ECHL this season with 28 wins and in save percentage with .929. Milner also recorded 3 shutouts this season and led the league with a 1.86 goals against average. His GAA is the fourth best single season record in ECHL history. This was a huge improvement over his 2.72 goals against average from last season. In his ECHL career, Milner has 11 shutouts and an overall record of 104-56-11.

Milner and the Stingrays are currently playing in the ECHL Playoffs as a 2 seed and are facing the Orlando Solar Bears (Toronto’s ECHL affiliate) in the first round.
