Boston College Lacrosse Improves to 13-0

The Eagles defeated #7 Virginia earlier today

Earlier today, Boston College women’s lacrosse improved to 13-0 thanks to a victory over #7 Virginia. UVA jumped to an early 4-1 lead, but the BC comeback queens ended up with a 15-12 win. The Eagles and UVA went into halftime tied at 6 before the Eagles pulled away with the win thanks in part to a 5 goal storing streak at 11:36 in the second half.

Dempsey Arsenault, Tess Chandler, and Kaileen Hart all scored hat tricks in the game, while Sam Apuzzo led the team with 6 draw controls. The Eagles outshot the Cavaliers 31-24 and BC goalkeeper Lauren Daly led the game with 7 saves.

This was BC’s first road win ever at UVA. BC also beat UVA last year, and this is the first time the Eagles have defeated Virginia two seasons in a row.

Next up, BC heads to Duke to take on the #20 team in the country before returning home to face #18 Dartmouth.
