The Boston College women’s lacrosse team continues to be unbeaten this season after defeating Binghamton in a rainy afternoon match yesterday. The Eagles earned a 14-2 victory to improve to 7-0 on the season. As usual, the Eagles were led by Sam Apuzzo, who scored 4 goals, and Tess Chandler recorded her first hat trick of the season.
Emma Schurr got BC on the board just over a minute into the game, kicking off 11 unanswered goals for the Eagles. Binghamton broke Lauren Daly’s shutout with just under 2 minutes to go in the first period, and then Eagles went to halftime leading 11-1. The second half was a low scoring affair, with only 4 goals total. Tess Chandler opened the scoring at 16:53 and picked up her second goals on the game 3 minutes later. Binghamton scored a second goal with just under 8 minutes remaining in the game, and Chandler scored the final goal of the match with a minute and a half to go.
