Final Score: Florida State 85, Boston College 76
Tough. Really tough. Not much else can be said. After dominating much of the second half, Boston College threw the game away. They had too many turnovers down the stretch and didn’t hit the necessary shots to stop the bleeding. That, combined with Steffon Mitchell’s injury was too much for the Eagles to overcome. BC will finish the ACC regular season at 17-14, 7-11 in league play.
What a tough loss, but to go 7-11 in ACC play after losing their most important player, this season just proves how tough Jim Christian’s team is. Wins over FSU, Duke, Miami, and Syracuse, all of whom will at least be in contention for a tournament spot, as well as close losses to UVA, Clemson, and Virginia Tech make this season a great success, and it isn’t over yet.
Ky Bowman and Jerome Robinson will lead the team to Brooklyn for the ACC tournament, where they will be the #12 seed.
