Jessica Dreswick Throws First Perfect Game in BC History

For the first time in Boston College Softball’s history, a pitcher has thrown a perfect game. Senior Jessica Dreswick did not allow a single baserunner in five innings, after which the game was called due to mercy rule. UVA had no answer for Dreswick’s right arm, as she mixed all of her pitches to keep the Cavaliers off the base paths.

Dreswick now has her name in the BC record book twice, throwing both the first perfect game in school history and the first no-hitter in ACC play in school history. The righty is enjoying a career year, with eight complete games on the season thus far, has only 2.54 ERA, and opponents are only hitting .212 on the season against her. If Dreswick continues to pitch like this, the Eagles should make some noise in the ACC this season.
