Boston College men’s basketball was selected to participate in the National Invitation Tournament after a strong finish in the ACC Tournament, beating Georgia Tech and North Carolina State to finish the season with 19 wins. They will be a # 5 seed, facing #4 Western Kentucky on Western Kentucky’s campus on Tuesday at 8 PM. If they advance, they will see the winner of #1 USC and #8 UNC Asheville in the second round on the campus of the higher seed.
This year’s NIT will feature some experimental rules. These include four 10-minute quarters rather than continuous 20-minute halves, a widened free throw lane, an extended 3-point line, and a partial rest of the shot clock to 20 seconds after an offensive foul. Check out full bracket below.
