Ice Cream of the Game
Many of our other previews feature a beverage of the game, but this year we’ll be picking an ice cream dessert of the game for MIH games. Why, you ask? Because when Jerry York got the BC coaching job, he went out for ice cream sundaes to celebrate.
Something from the LL Bean Ice Cream Recipe List
The name “Bean Boots,” confuses me. There are no beans in those boots. It’s false advertising.
Cat Predictions
Every game, we have the cats of the Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter (located right across from BC at 30 Undine Road) predict the outcome of the games. The Gifford Cat Shelter is the oldest cageless, no-kill shelter in the USA.
Laura’s cat Coffee predicted a 3-1 win.
Human Predictions:
BC 4 Maine 1
It is such a typical part of the year in Hockey East that Maine is a competitive program. In a conference filled with absoluetly mediocre programs, Maine fits right in. Against my better judgement, I say that BC steals one in Orono.
Providence 3, UMass Lowell 0
Vermont 2, Northeastern 1
It would have been classic Northeastern losing to Vermont after winning a historic Beanpot. At this point it’s no longer a trap game after Beanpot. I went into this weekend thinking Northeastern drops some points, and I am sticking to it.
Boston University 5, Merrimack 1
Connecticut 5, Massachusetts 1 (Thu.)
UConn just can’t seem to stop winning. And I for one welcome our new Husky overlods.
