The Eagles return to Conte after a tough 96-85 loss at Notre Dame in which Jerome Robinson put up a career-high 46 points. Today they face #25 Miami, a team BC has not beaten since the 2009 season.
Keys to the Game
Defense was the major struggle in South Bend this week, with the Eagles tying a season-high for points allowed at 96. BC has played better defense at home this season. They will need to play with energy on that side of the floor. The Hurricanes are a team that relies on their inside game, so BC needs to be ready to protect the paint.
Miami’s Strengths
The Hurricanes’ defense has been efficient this year, and is currently ranked in the top 20. Robinson will need some help from other scorers this afternoon, and the Eagles need to move the ball on offense and trust other players to take good shots.
Hurricane Player To Watch
#3 G Anthony Lawrence II has been effective from three-point range (49%) and BC has struggled to guard behind the arc. He dropped 25 points at Virginia Tech last week with three 3s.
Predictions
Matt: Similar situation to the FSU game: 77-72 BC
Toppin: 82-76 BC
Katie: Keeping faith (for now) 80-76 BC
