Jim Christian & BC with an uphill battle

I graduated from BC in 2015, the only basketball highlight during my time at BC was the E Coli Chipotle breakout and Dennis Clifford crying on national tv. Let's put all this in the past. The team this year is a total treat. A few years back we had some decent talent with Ryan Anderson (still posterized in Eagles deli) & Olivier Hanlan. Both of those guys were talents, for sure, but I didn't really feel the same excitement watching those teams as I do this season. Donahue's teams had recruits but never showed any real life other than an occasional fluke upset.

This years BC team is no ACC powerhouse, but those boys are gritty. I don't even mind watching Ky Bowman miss his shots- as long as he keeps his confidence and his swagger that's all we need. The minute you get reluctant or nervous against a team like unc, uva, duke you're finished. This is the first year I feel like we have an actual chance in every game.

I love Ky Bowman, he's awesome. But Ky Bowman is not an nba guard, hes not even an acc guard. Robinson is great & Chatman is also a good shooter (when he's open), but I think us BC fans assuming "everyone's coming back next year" is as naive as it is shortsighted. Marvin Bagley will be gone in the lottery and Zion WIlliamson will be behind him. Those blue bloods are not going anywhere.

Long story short, BC has some real back court talent and some incredible shooters. If Jairus Hamilton can play the 4/5 and provide some size & rebounding down low, we will certainly have a chance at winning even more acc games. But in reality, if anyone thinks were going to get better by "aging up", they're crazy-- the ACC isn't going anywhere.
