It has been a busy morning for the Boston College Eagles as they have landed two commitments. Michigan 3* cornerback Josh DeBerry and New Jersey 3* DB/LB Connor Grieco have pledged to Steve Addazio and his staff and should be signing during the early signing period
Josh DeBerry, from Warren, MI, is a 3* cornerback with offers from some great peer schools including the Northwestern Wildcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, Iowa State Cyclones, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, Kentucky Wildcats, and some mid level schools like the Colorado State Rams and Cincinnati Bearcats. He will join Connor Greico, Romain Mungin and Steve Lubischer as defensive backs in this class. At this point in the recruiting process, DeBerry is clearly a good get and takes a bit of the sting away from some of the recent losses.
Connor Grieco, listed as an Athlete on Rivals, signed with Boston College this morning as well. He held offers from the West Virginia Mountaineers, Virginia Cavaliers, Utah Utes, Pittsburgh Panthers, Oregon Ducks, North Carolina Tar Heels, Iowa State, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Syracuse Orange, and Cal. From sources I have heard from he was high on BC all along, and was just waiting for his offer. It didn’t take long after he was offered for Grieco to pledge to the Eagles.
In the past week BC has lost two recruits in Marvin Ham and Maurice Smith, but have gained commitments from Zay Flowers, Connor Grieco and Josh DeBerry. It would have been great to keep Ham and Smith in this class, but Addazio has done a nice job with handling some of the attrition to the class.
Welcome to the Heights Josh and Connor!
