Boston College Women’s Basketball Defeats Boston University

The Boston College women’s basketball earned their ninth win of the season today, defeating Boston University by a score of 78-51. The Terriers only had 8 players dressed for the game due to injuries, but this was still a big win for BC after they lost to BU by 4 points last year.

The Eagles scored first against the Terriers and maintained their lead for the remainder of the game. BC had an impressive 41 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 33 bench points against the Terriers.

Emma Guy, who nearly had to leave the game because of an apparent leg injury, led all players with 13 rebounds today. Taylor Ortlepp, who made 5 3-pointers in the game, led with 19 points. Despite only having 8 players, BU’s leading scorer, Payton Hauck, scored just 16 points.

Sydney Lowery also had a strong offensive game with 12 points, and Mimi Bolden-Morris picked up 9 points thanks to a trio of 3-pointers. Despite only having 8 players, BU’s leading scorer, Payton Hauck, scored just 16 points.
