Final Thoughts and Predictions: Boston College Men’s Basketball vs. Columbia

ACC Basketball Tournament - First Round Photo by Abbie Parr/Getty Images

It’s been quite the whirlwind week for the Eagles, who took a disappointing loss at the hands of the Providence Friars and had a game at Texas A&M canceled due to travel issues. Tonight, Jim Christian will lead his team at home against the Columbia Lions in a non-conference battle.

Keys to Beating the Lions

Defend the three ball. Defend the three ball. Defend the three ball. The Eagles have struggled with this since I’ve been on campus, allowing mid-major foes like IUPUI to defeat them. This was a major problem in the Providence game, leading to the AJ Reeves last second shot to send the game into overtime and give the Friars a win. Columbia will look to shoot the three a lot, but if BC can get pressure on the ball and chase the shooters off the three point-line, they should have an easy win.

Predictions:
