RUMORED: Oliver Wahlstrom Looking to Leave Boston College Hockey Program

We are not thankful for this

NHL: NHL Draft Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

After a rumor was posted this morning that Oliver Wahlstrom was leaving the Boston College men’s hockey program for the USHL’s Tri-City Storm, Twitter has taken off with speculation that the BC rookie is looking to leave the team.

Wahlstrom, who was drafted in the 1st round by the New York Islanders this past summer, hasn't quite lived up to the hype so far as a member of this struggling Boston College hockey team. Wahlstrom has 2 goals over 9 games for the Eagles, who are 3-5-1 so far this season.

After the initial rumor was posted, Mark Divver quoted an unnamed source as telling him that Wahlstrom had not had any communication with Tri-City yet. Mike McMahon and The Hockey News’ Ryan Kennedy have since alleged that Wahlstrom is unhappy at BC and is investigating options in order to leave the team.
