BC’s BEST CHANCE TO WIN

A miracle.

I’m optimistic. I’m always optimistic, at least before kickoff. But Clemson opened as a 17 point favorite and the money immediately moved it to 20. They’re big. They’re bad. Their defensive line is the best I’ve ever seen.

But it’s a miracle the Eagles are in this position. I opened up my freshman year with a 3-9 campaign that went winless in conference, wondering the whole while why I hadn’t gone to UCLA where Jim Mora and Josh Rosen were building a dynasty(I was very, very wrong). I sat throught the entirety of 3-0 Wake Forest. 49-0 Virginia Tech. all of them. We’ve seen bad the past few years. And this year we’ve seen good. Really good. Best team in a decade for BC. That’s why College GameDay is here at the Heights, and why AD Martin Jarmond has injected more buzz than ever into the fanbase.

Everything is kind of lining up for that miracle. Cold weather. Sell out. Gameday. The Eagles will have to play their asses off. No missed tackles, no missed assignments, no mental mistakes; the margin for error is smaller than a true freshman Hamp Cheevers (currently BC’s DPOY in my opinion).

The Eagles best chance to win is to play their best football of the year right now, when the odds are against them but we are all behind them.

Go Eagles. We are BC.
