It wasn't the prettiest third period in the world, but after going up 5-0 after two periods, it didn't have to be.
Several BC penalties at once in the beginning of the third period put Lowell on a two minute 5 on 3, with an additional 3 minutes to follow thanks to a 5+Game to Jacob Tortora for boarding. The River Hawks scored once on the power play, and then a second just seconds after the major ended. But the Eagles held off Lowell from there for the 5-2 win.
Next up for BC is Friday night for a one-off game at UConn, with a short weekend of hockey due to the Beanpot the following Monday.
