BC fans have waited a long time for a Top 100 recruit…15 years to be exact. The wait is over as BC has secured a commitment from 6’7” wing Jairus Hamilton.
Hamilton is the first Top 100 player to choose BC since Craig Smith in 2002. Hamilton is ranked 81st by Rivals, 55th by ESPN, and 63rd by Scout. Hamilton has an unbelievable list of offers including powerhouse programs like Duke, Arizona, Kansas and Villanova. In the end Hamilton made his decision between BC, Maryland and Mississippi State in the end.
Jim Christian will be getting a dynamic wing scorer that has been missing on the roster for a long time. Hamilton is a player that can score in bunches and can create his own offense in a one-on-one situation. The wing is tough for a larger wing to guard because he can blow by them and is a tough assignment for a smaller wing because Hamilton has the ability to post up. Hamilton has the unique ability to score down low, at mid-range and from beyond the three point line.
Hamilton’s lead recruiter was new BC assistant, Chris Cheeks.
BCI will have more to come on this unbelievable news for BC hoops!
