Women’s soccer freshman midfielder Sam Coffey was named to the 2018 United States U-20 national team to compete in the CONCACAF championship. Coffey and the U.S. women will take on Nicaragua at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad on January 19th at 5:30 PM EST. They will also face Jamaica on January 21st at 6:30 PM EST and Mexico on January 23rd at 3:00 PM EST as part of group play. If the U.S. is able to advance, the semifinals will be held on Friday, Januray 26th followed by the finals on Sunday, January 28th.
Coffey started all 20 games in her freshman season for BC this fall. She led the team in points (20) and assists (10). She also had 5 goals, good for third best on the season. She has been training with the U-20 team under coach Jitka Klimkova in Bradenton, Florida since December 28th.
