Boston College Center Jon Baker Out for the Season

Boston College released some bad news just before kickoff of the Eagles' ACC and home opener against Wake Forest today, informing media that senior center Jon Baker will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

If there is a silver lining, it's that Baker, a senior from Millis, will be eligible for a medical redshirt, and plans to return next year. Baker hurt his knee in the fourth quarter of last week's game against Northern Illinois, but returned after just one play and finished the contest.

During that one play, Baker was replaced by true freshman Alec Lindstrom, who it appears will get the start at center for the Eagles today.
