Get to know #10

Name: Christopher Brown

Number: 10

Position: Forward

Class Year: Junior

Drafted: #151 by the Buffalo Sabres in 2014

Background: After playing only 5 games as a freshman, Brown played in 34 games last season. He had 26 points, including 9 goals. Brown scored his first career hat trick early in 2016 against Wisconsin. If Brown is anything like his brother, he will continue to show significant improvement every season.

2017-18 Outlook: Brown is one of three captains for the 2017-18 season, so he’ll need to take on a bigger leadership role than he has before. Brown has shown that he can score goals, and fans should expect to see his offensive output increase at least a little bit. Also expect him to be an important special teams player - he’s good for a few power play goals, and is not afraid to play defense on the PK.

Fun Fact: Brown is the brother of former BC MIH player / current Charlotte Checkers captain, Patrick Brown. He is the son of BC MIH alum / NHL alum Doug Brown, and the nephew of Coach Greg Brown.
