Yesterday night, the Boston College women’s soccer team’s 3 game winning streak was ended by Harvard. The Crimson defeated the Eagles by a score of 1-0, causing BC’s record to drop to 4-3 overall.
Boston College dominated the game, with 14 shots to Harvard’s 4, and 6 shots on goal to Harvard’s 1. The Eagles also took 10 corner kicks, while giving up only 2 to Harvard. Unfortunately, none of the Eagles attempts were able to make it past Harvard’s goalie, and in minute 69 Harvard's Leah Mohammadi scored on her team’s only shot on goal. Mohammadi’s goal would end up being the only goal scored in yesterday’s game.
Despite not scoring, the Eagles were led on offense by freshman Sam Coffey and sophomore Jenna Bike. Coffey recorded 6 a team high 6 shots, 3 of which were on goal. Bike contributed 2 shots on goal.
The Eagles return to action on Sunday at 1 PM to face the Boston University Terriers. If you cannot make it out to Newton, the game will be streamed online via ACC Network Extra.
