Boston College softball got a strong addition to its coaching staff today as former University of Michigan standout Lindsay Montemarano has come on as a volunteer assistant under Ashley Obrest. While in Ann Arbor, Montemarano played in two Women’s College World Series with the Wolverines.
She earned Academic All Big Ten Honors as a senior due to her performance on and off the diamond with a .293 batting average and a .422 slugging percentage. Montemarano will attempt to help a program make the NCAA tournament in 2018 after narrowly missing out in a year that saw the Eagles go 31-22 with a 14-9 (a program record for wins) in the ACC.
The team will get back to work this fall during its fall schedule, tuning up for the spring season as they attempt to build on last year’s success. Welcome to the Heights, Lindsay!
