The Boston College women’s soccer team earned their third win in a row on Sunday with a 2-1 win over local rival, Northeastern. Despite a scoreless first half, the Eagles dominated the entire game with 11 shots each half. The Huskies had only 7 shots total in the game.
The Eagles earned their victory early in the second half, scoring twice in the span of a minute and a half. Sam Coffey opened the scoring, picking up her second goal of the year at the 50:25 mark off of a steal. Her goal was quickly followed by a corner kick rebound goal by Jenna Bike. Bike leads the Eagles with 4 goals so far this season.
The Huskies cut the lead to 2-1 late in the game, but with only 10 seconds remaining it was too little, too late for Northeastern.
The Eagles return to action on Wednesday at 7 PM, when they will face Harvard on the road.
