BC Loses Connor Strachan For Year, Max Richardson Out Indefinitely

Two major injuries for the Eagles.

NCAA Football: Boston College at Clemson Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

The injury report just came out for the Central Michigan Chippewas game, and BC is going to be without two of their top linebackers:

Strachan’s injury means that BC has lost their leading tackler from 2016. He has been out since the NIU game, and had been listed as out for the Notre Dame, Clemson and Wake Forest games. There is no word on what kind of injury or what kind of rehab he is going to need, or if he is going to redshirt, which he medically should be able to do if he wanted to play in 2018.

Max Richardson went down with a bad injury against Clemson and needed assistance getting off the field as he put no weight on one of his legs. It’s a tough loss because he had done a nice job filling in as a redshirt freshman. Of course with the injury labeled “indefinitely” we are unsure if he will return this season.

BC’s depth at linebacker has taken a major hit this season with the loss of Ethan Tucky (transfer) and Sharrieff Grice (retirement) to start the season, and now these two injuries. Running back Davon Jones has moved over to that position to add some depth, and we can probably expect Kevin Bletzer and John Lamot to be the two other starters along with Ty Schwab.

Best wishes in Max and Connor’s recovery.
