Boston College vs Clemson Highlights

See the highs and the lows from yesterday’s game.

NCAA Football: Boston College at Clemson Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

Closer than the score might signal, Boston College gave Clemson all it had yesterday and gave BC fans across the country hope for three quarters. Clemson pulled away at the end though with 27 unanswered to win 34-7.

At the end of the day the Eagles just couldn’t score points, unable to convert on good field position. They were forced to punt multiple times inside Clemson territory. Credit is fully due to both defenses, as both the Eagle and the Tiger secondaries pulled down two interceptions and the defensive fronts found themselves in opposing backfields often. Harold Landry, despite not getting a sack, got great pressure all day.

Also, Mike Knoll deserves some recognition for pinning Kelly Bryant and the Clemson offense inside the 10 more times than I can count. The announcers weren’t kidding when they said #KnollForHeisman.
