Name: Ryan Edquist

Number: 35

Position: Goalie

Class Year: Sophomore

Background: Edquist played in 8 games last season, starting 6 and posting a GAA of 1.82 and a .923 save percentage. He blocked a career high 36 saves against Ferris State in a 1-1 tie. He was an extremely capable back-up goalie for the Eagles last season, which is particularly impressive as a rookie.

2017-18 Outlook: Edquist will back-up Joseph Woll in net, but fans should expect him to earn a few starts. He showed himself to be a skilled goalie, and could easily have been a starting goaltender at many other schools. The Eagles will be relying on their goalies to pull off some big games this year, as they have lost a good chunk of their goal scoring. Fans should feel comfortable with Edquist in net, even though he might not make the same number of flashy saves as Woll does.

Fun Fact: Edquist, who is from Minnesota, was previously committed to University of Minnesota.
