Boston College Men’s Soccer Falls to Another Top-10 Foe

Coming off of a big win against Providence, the Eagles showed that they belonged for the first 45 minutes in Louisville. Through the first half, Boston College was outshooting and out-possessing the Cardinals, but Louisville’s keeper made a crucial diving stop to preserve the tie in the 31st minute.

However, once the second half began, there was little that the Eagles could do to stop the Cardinals. After scoring two minutes into the second half, the home team doubled its lead in the 67th minute. They would culminate the scoring with two goals in the final fifteen minutes to walk away with a 4-0 victory.

The Eagles finished with 10 shots, but only two on goal, whereas Louisville had 13 shots, five on goal, and of course, the four goals.

The 3-5 Eagles will return to the pitch on Tuesday, September 26 when the University of Rhode Island comes to Newton in a non-conference battle.
