How to Watch: Boston College vs Clemson

The Eagles take on the Tigers in ACC play.

NCAA Football: Boston College at Clemson Joshua S. Kelly-USA TODAY Sports

Last week was pretty bad, I’ll admit, but it showed a much better level of performance than week two against Wake Forest. This week though, the game only gets tougher as the Eagles get ready to take on second ranked Clemson in Death Valley. Can the Eagles pull off the upset of the year? Or will the Tigers crush Boston College as they look to complete the ‘Bama vs Clemson National Championship Trilogy?

Watch Parties!

New York

For those of you paying attention, you should know by now that the BC Alumni Association of New York has two "BC bars" in Manhattan, where each week fans and alumni can gather to watch the game. At Joshua Tree, the long-standing home of BC Alumni in New York, continues to host with special BC menus, BC decorations all over the bar, playing the fight song for every TD, and the staff all wear BC shirts. Dewey's Pub has also opened their doors to BC fans and are continuing to deliver some great service. Once again, there will be free 30 minutes of Bud Light open bar prior to kickoff. Their weekly specials of Lower Dining Hall Steak and Cheese, the New England Classic, and the "ALS Wing Bucket Challenge" will continue as well!

For Chicago

The Chicago Chapter of the BC Alumni Association is doing a game watch for the Notre Dame game this week at Tobacco Road Tap Room! There will be a $35 all you can drink wristband for domestic beers and well/rail drinks for 3 hours starting 30 minutes prior to kickoff, as well as more food and drink specials!

BC’s BEST CHANCE TO WIN

Boston College is coming off back to back losses against dual threat quarterbacks. Now they get to play another. Odds of winning seem very slim, but if BC hopes to play ball with Tigers, the defense (especially the front four) will have to dominate. Kelly Bryant is more lethal on the ground than through the air, so getting forcing him to beat Kam Moore and co. is the Eagles’ best bet.

Offensively, BC has to handle a monstrous Clemson line. The offense will have to get rolling like they did in parts of the Notre Dame game and let Jon Hilliman and AJ Dillon take pressure off of Anthony Brown. A few deep completions to Kobay White and Jeff Smith wouldn’t hurt.
