Name: Graham McPhee

Number: 27

Position: Forward

Class Year: Sophomore

Drafted: By the Edmonton Oilers with pick #146 in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Background: McPhee played in 39 games as a freshman, recording 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists). He’s a physical player and led all freshmen with 42 PIM last season. McPhee was never projected to be a top-level scorer, but is rather known for being a skilled two-way player that is good at opening up scoring opportunities for his teammates.

2017-18 Outlook: Expect McPhee to increase his assists this season, but to remain a lot goal scorer. He will be relied upon when the Eagles need a tough player on the ice that is not afraid to go after the puck. McPhee’s strengths lie in his physicality and toughness and in his ability to help created scoring opportunities for his teammates. Although BC will rely on his toughness, it would be ideal if he’s continued to get a handle on his emotions to avoid any unnecessary penalties.

Fun Fact: McPhee’s father, who played for Coach York at Bowling Green, in the GM of the newest NHL team - the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
