In case you need more bad news for your afternoon, today Steve Addazio announced that linebacker Connor Strachan is out indefinitely with a knee injury
Per @BCCoachAddazio, Connor Strachan is out indefinitely with a knee injury. Davon Jones has also been moved to LB this week.#BCEagles

Strachan a senior, missed Saturday’s game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with the same injury. In 2016 Strachan led the Eagles with 80 tackles, and also had 11 tackles for loss along with 3.5 sacks. He moved over to middle linebacker this year to fill in a gap after Sharieff Grice retired due to concussion concerns. He was a leader on defense, and his loss is massive for the Eagles.
In a corresponding move, Davon Jones who was BC’s most consistent RB in 2016 is being moved to linebacker. This move makes some sense because Jones came to the Eagles recruited as a safety/linebacker hybrid. As we all saw on Saturday BC needs as much depth at linebacker as they can get, and Jones will be a stop gap.
The injuries are piling up for the Eagles, and it’s on Steve Addazio to figure out a way to fix this team. Can he do it? BC is 32.5 point underdogs heading into Saturday’s game against the defending National Champion Clemson Tigers.
