BC coach Steve Addazio left a lot of fans angry after he decided not to go for points at the end of the first half yesterday. The Eagles trailed 14-10, with 13 seconds left and the ball at the ND 44-yard line after a huge momentum-swinging interception by Lukas Denis. Equipped with two timeouts it appeared that BC had enough time to try at least two passes to get the ball into field goal range. Instead, Addazio opted to run up the middle with Jon Hilliman and let the clock run out.
Addazio’s explanation is puzzling at best considering the most famous play in BC history was a Hail Mary pass.
