Boston College Football: Steve Addazio Inexplicably Lets Clock Wind Down to Halftime with Timeouts Left in Notre Dame Game

I can’t. I just can’t.

NCAA Football: Wake Forest at Boston College Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

With the Notre Dame Fighting Irish trying to run a two minute drill late in the second half, the Boston College Eagles caught a break off a tip-drill interception by Lukas Denis.

The Boston College offense then ran two plays for two yards to reach the ten second left mark in the first half with two timeouts at the Notre Dame 40 yard line.

What does BC do?

If you guessed walk off the field without taking two relatively risk-free shots at the end zone, you are a winner!

Despite having enough time to take two shots at the end zone, Steve Addazio instead declined to call a play or call a timeout and gave up a decent shot at the end zone in a game where offense has been hard to come by.

If you’re here trying to find someone here who is going to defend this absolutely atrocious decision, you should keep looking.
