Name: Korab Idrizi
Position: Tight End
Number: 85
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 250
Hometown: Fort Lee, New Jersey
High School: Bergen Catholic High School
2016 Stats: According to BCEagles.com Korab: “Saw action in six games, making three starts at tight end … recorded first-career reception – a 12-yarder – in victory against Connecticut (Nov. 19) … recorded a 13-yard grab in the Quick Lane Bowl victory against Maryland (Dec. 26).”
2017 Projection: Personally I thought Idrizi showed a lot of upside in the limited time he got to play with the Eagles last year. He made two nice catches, one against Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl, and one against a lower opponent in UConn. Addazio has been really high on his tight end group this year, and there is good reason why. Of course Tommy Sweeney is going to get most of the attention, and they have hybrids like Chris Garrison, and Idrizi is yet another TE with hands, giving BC three targets in the short game, something they haven’t had in a long time. I’d expect Idrizi to be on the two deep to start the season and to really open some eyes in 2017.
How’d He Get Here: A two star tight end of Bergan Catholic, Idrizi was originally committed to Rutgers but decommitted to come to BC. He chose the Eagles over Buffalo, Colgate, Lehigh, Maine and a variety of other FCS schools along with Temple.
