Boston College began its season this afternoon on Newton Campus against the Quinnipiac Bobcats, dominating start to finish in a 4-0 demolition. Simon Enstrom scored the first goal of the game and the season for the Eagles, breaking through in the seventh minute to give BC an early lead. Three minutes later, Mohammed Moro doubled the Eagles’ lead for his first goal of the season. In the 24th minute, Joshua Forbes was able to make the lead grow even more as a beautiful passing sequence led to an easy finish.
Right before halftime, however, Forbes picked up a red card for retaliation, meaning the Eagles would have to play a man down for the second 45 minutes. In the 77th minute Callum Johnson, who is expected to have a breakout year, had a 25 yard screamer into the top corner of the net to cap the scoring for the Eagles.
Ed Kelly deemed Heidar Aegisson the man of the match as he was able to play controlled and lead the Eagles to a dominant victory.
The Eagles will come back to the field again on Sunday night at Boston University.
