Name: Jimmy Martin

Position: Linebacker

Number: #46

Year: Sophomore

Height: 5-foot-11

Weight: 220 lbs.

Hometown: Maitland, FL

High School: Orangewood Christian

2016 Stats: Jimmy played in 8 different games for the Eagles in 2016, mostly on special teams. He did however see some time in mop up duty, most notably getting two solo tackles against Virginia Tech.

2017 Projections: Jimmy Martin spent most of last year as the backup snapper behind Leonard Skubal, who graduated. Reports are that he was starting as long snapper all spring, and should be given the starting job this fall. If that is the case, he should be a special team starter all season.

How'd He Get Here: Jimmy Martin was a 3* linebacker, recruited in the Class of 2015. He chose the Eagles over claimed offers from Cincinnati, Duke, South Florida and a bevy of MAC schools.
